It proved to be a day of several goals, intense clashes, and plenty of controversy as 11 goals were shared in the two matches between Cameroon and Serbia and Ghana and South Korea in the two early kick-off matches on Monday evening at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cameroon came back from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 with Serbia while Mohammed Kudus found the back of the net twice and helped Ghana defeat South Korea 3-2 in a controversial clash that sealed their exit from the competition. Cameroon has striker Vincent Aboubakar to thank as he came off the bench and scored a goal while setting up another as Ghana turned things around to rescue a draw in the second half of the contest with Serbia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cameroon got their noses ahead in the contest through Jean-Charles Castelletto just before the half-hour mark. However, two goals from Serbia in the added time of the first half changed the script dramatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dusan Tadic floated the ball from a free-kick into the box and defender Strahinja Pavlovic produced a thumping header to restore parity in the contest. The ever-brilliant Sergej Milinkovic Savic gave his side the lead just two minutes later as he capitalized on holes in the Cameroon defense and found the back of the net from a low shot from outside the box superbly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All seemed to be over when central striker Aleksandar Mitrovic added a third goal seven minutes following the half-time restart. Mitrovic had the simple job of tapping home from close range after Andrija Zivkovic squared the ball back to him inside the box.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That was far from the final throw of the dice in the match as Cameroon showed plenty of composure and roared their way back into the game. Vincent Aboubakar came on from the bench to chip over the goalkeeper after being put through on goal in the 63rd<\/sup> minute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three minutes later, he turned provider and whipped a low cross for Bayern Munich\u2019s Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting to score and level the tie and keep Cameroon alive in the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, South Korea came back from 2-0 down at half-time to tie the score at 2-2 thanks to a brace of goals from Cho Gue-Sung in three minutes.
